Welcome to Shreveport Dance Academy! We applaud you for caring enough to invest your time and money in your child’s development. We’ll do our very best to provide a fun, challenging, and safe environment in which your child will not only train from the most highly certified and qualified faculty, but will also develop team work, sense of accomplishment, and high self esteem.

-Classes may begin sooner than September 2nd
-Info will be mailed out closer to the start time

REGISTRATION

All returning students are register during pre-registration
Pre-Registration begins April 28th – May 10th
Registration will be open to the public Starting May 12th
Those fully registering before May 10th will have a discounted registration fee of $25.00. There is no guarantee of space after this date. Registration will be taken by mail.
Regular registration in person will be taken on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00-6:00 PM at 2537 East 70th Street beginning May 27th
Registration fee is $35.00 per student or $60.00 per family

REGISTRATION POLICY

Registration is based on a first come, first serve basis
Classes are closed once capacity is reached
We are offering more class times this year, therefore the class cutoff will be enforced after a count of 12 per class
A minimum of 5 students is required for class development
Students MUST re-register each year
There is a $ 35.00 registration fee for all students

FAMILY RATES

Family rates are available to families with more than one child attending classes. The highest paying student pays full tuition and each additional child enrolled receives a 10% discount.

PAYMENT POLICY

Tuition is due the 1st of each month and is late after the 15th. After the 15th a 20% late fee will be assessed for the total amount delinquent on the account.
Students with delinquent accounts will not be admitted in class, nor will they be accepted for a new semester until the account is current.
Payments received for the entire semester will receive a 10% discount and payments received for the entire year will receive a 15% discount.
NEW POLICY! With registration, you must include one of the following forms of payment for automatic payment for monthly tuition: A cancelled check or credit card authorization. Each student must have one on file to attend class. NO EXCEPTIONS!
There is a $25.00 NSF Fee on ALL returned checks. After (2) checks have been returned SDA has no choice but to ONLY accept credit cards, cash, or money orders.

REFUND POLICY

TUITION IS NON REFUNDABLE
No refunds will be made except in the case of serious illness or injury as verified by a doctor’s referral.
Shreveport Dance Academy, INC. reserves the right to make final decisions on all refunds.

MAKE-UP CLASSES

We reserve a position in your child’s class for your child whether or not your child is present until we are notified in writing of your desire to cancel enrollment.
For this reason, tuition will not be pro-rated for missed classes. Make-up classes must be scheduled within 30 days of the classes missed.

DROPPING ENROLLMENT

By signing the 2009-2010 registration form, you have reserved your child’s class time from the date of signature until May ’10. You will be billed and are liable for the payment of tuition for those classes whether or not your child attends the class until we are notified, IN WRITING, of your desire to cancel your child’s enrollment.
Written notification to cancel enrollment must be given one week prior to the date you desire to cancel.

REFERRALS

If a current student refers a new customer to Shreveport Dance Academy and that customer enrolls, the student who made the referral will receive a $25.00 credit towards their account.
The new student must notify the name of current student at time of registration for the current student to receive the credit. NO EXCEPTIONS!
All types of classes are available for referral credit.

ILLNESS

Please inform us if your child is ill and cannot attend class.
If your child misses a class due to illness, you may schedule a make-up class through the office.

PARKING

During peak hours, our parking lot tends to get a bit crowded.
Please always escort your child to and from the building.
Please take into consideration that our “customers” are primarily young children and drive carefully and slowly through the parking lot.
