Anna Maria is well known to local audiences, having most recently
appeared in Shreveport Opera’s production of “Beauty and the Beast.” She
just completed Shreveport Little Theatre’s production of “On Golden Pond.”
Next up, she will play ‘Miss Mona’ in StageCenter’s production of “Best
Little Whorehouse in Texas” in late July. Anna Maria’s favorite roles include
‘Mary Poppins’ in “Mary Poppins”; ‘Maria’ in “The Sound of Music”;
‘Auntie Mame’ in “Auntie Mame”; and, ‘Belle’ in “Beauty and the Beast” for
which she won an SB Magazine “Memory” Award for Best Actress in a Musical. In 2012, Anna Maria received the P.R.I.D.E. Award for Outstanding Performing Arts Professional by the Shreveport – Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau. A dancer for many years, she originally trained with Paul Coates and Ginger Folmer and was an adjunct Professor of Dance at Centenary College of Louisiana for several years.
